Yinka Folawiyo Group of Companies:: Subsidiary

Yinka Folawiyo & Sons Ltd, the group’s parent company was established in 1957, primarily as an import/export company and manufacturers’ representative. It later diversified into construction and property development. As a result of the planned diversification programme, Yinka Folawiyo & Sons Ltd is now the holding company for twenty independent companies in the shipping, agricultural, fishing banking, insurance, petroleum and energy sectors.

Crucial to the success of the company’s operations is its warehouse and road haulage system. Today, it owns vast warehouse spaces in and around Lagos as well as having access to warehouse in other states of the Federation.

With over N2billion (1992 figures) of investment in various companies and projects, a group head office building became imperative for effective management of the business. No. 38, Yinka Folawiyo Avenue, Apapa, was thus constructed. The 13-floor building known as Yinka Folawiyo Plaza is today a conspicuous landmark in Apapa’s Central Business District.
